If you thought that was a mouthful you should try shoving a bit of this fudge in your gob. It’s a mouthful mouth-party. It’s a bit sweet, but a bit salty & a bit nutty…. Kinda like me actually. You could drizzle some coconut butter on top, or a bit of melted dark chocolate. You can sub in some other nuts if you prefer.
10 fresh dates
1 cup boiling water
2 heaped tbs raw cacao
Pinch rock salt
4 tbs coconut oil
1/2 cup lightly toasted macadamias
Pit the fresh dates pop them in a bowl. Pour over the boiling water & push them down with a spoon so that they are covered best you can. Leave to sit for 5 mins. You could take a quick shower. Or paint your toenails. Or just watch them soak. Whatever floats your boat. Now add the dates without the water to your food processor & blend to combine. Add the coconut oil & raw cacao & blend until smooth. Pour into a small baking paper lined container. Sprinkle the macadamias on top and push them down a bit. Sprinkle with a bit of rock salt & pop in the freezer to set for 1/2 hr before slicing then wrap your laughing gear around it.

Oh my!! Depending on how long this lasts where is the best place to store this and how long does it keep?!
myfoodreligion says
Hmmmm mine lasted about 20 minutes 😉 I would normally keep it in the freezer for up to a month or the fridge for up to a week.

Thanks so much for sharing!
I have made this twice however can’t get it to set. I have to freeze it for hours and then we eat it like a frozen dessert… Absolutely delicious though!!
If I put it in the fridge after that it melts again. The second time I added a little more coconut oil but same result.
When you say 4 tablespoons of coconut oli is that liquid or solid?
myfoodreligion says
Hey Tony, my coconut oil was solid. Try only adding 1/2 the water and see how that goes 😉

Great. Will do
Thanks!
